🖥️ Counting work, college, and phone scrolling, and I'm being generous. I've already spent more than 9 full years staring at a screen, around 86 thousand hours.
⌨️ ~15 thousand keystrokes per workday, 1.2 cm per press. My fingers have traveled more than 900 km across keyboards. Running non-stop, it would take about 4 days. I'm tired just thinking about it.
🐞 Steve McConnell cites around 7 bugs per thousand lines. Until 2023, with no AI in the mix, writing code adds up to a little over a thousand. Not the ones in the tracker. The classic 'LGTM, ship it' kind, until someone finds out they're not.
🤖 Steve McConnell cites around 7 bugs per thousand lines. Since 2023, with AI helping (or sabotaging), they already add up to over 350. Looks like I'll hit 1 thousand in under 5 years. Same recipe: 'LGTM, ship it'.
